At the Vostochny cosmodrome, specialists of Roscosmos enterprises - “TSENKI” and RSC "Progress" (members of Roscosmos State Corporation), in accordance with the preparation schedule, completed the mechanical assembly of the “package” (first and second stages) of the launch vehicle "Soyuz-2.1b." The launch is scheduled for the beginning of July 2019, the "Soyuz-2.1b" rocket will launch the "Meteor-M" № 2-2 spacecraft into orbit.

In accordance with the schedule, on June 1, 2019, specialists of the Vostochny Space Center (TSENKI company branch) and NPO Lavochkin (part of the Roscosmos State Corporation) at the Vostochny cosmodrome transported the "Fregat" upper stage from the Assembly and Testing building of the spacecrafts to the refueling station for refueling with fuel components and compressed gases. The "Soyuz-2.1b" launch vehicle will launch the "Meteor-M" № 2-2 spacecraft into orbit. This will be the fifth launch from the newest Russian cosmodrome.

The spacecraft "Meteor-M" № 2-2 and equipment for its assembly and testing arrived at the Ignatievo Airport of the Amur Region. On May 21, the space cargo was transported from the airport to Vostochny Cosmodrome, where specialists of the Vostochny Space Center (TsENKI company branch) have already prepared all the necessary technological equipment for its reception and performed its unloading. The "Soyuz-2.1b" launch vehicle will launch the "Meteor-M" № 2-2 spacecraft into orbit. This will be the fifth launch from the newest Russian cosmodrome.

9 launches of "Soyuz" rockets with OneWeb space satellites will be performed from the Baikonur cosmodrome, 8 launches - from the Vostochny cosmodrome. “The first launch of OneWeb satellites from the Baikonur cosmodrome is planned to be held in the fourth quarter of 2019, from the Vostochny - in the second quarter of 2020”, Glavkosmos CEO (branch of Roskosmos), Dmitry Loskutov said to RIA Novosti. Now specialists are preparing areas for fall of the "Soyuz" stages in Yakutia and Kazakhstan.

Today, on December 27, 2018, at 5:07 (Mosacow time) from the launch complex of the "Vostochny" cosmodrome was performed the launch of the rocket "Soyuz-2.1 a" with the upper stage "Fregat" and spacecrafts of Earth remote sensing "Kanopus-B" №5 and 6. Space head part, consisting of the upper stage "Fregat", spacecrafts "kanopus-B" №5 and №6 and 26 satellites is set on the orbit. The separation of the two spacecrafts "Kanopus-B" is scheduled at 06:06 and 06:12 (Moscow time), of small satellites - at 07:30 and 09:25 (Moscow time).

On December 24, 2018, the "Soyuz-2.1a" launch vehicle (LV) was removed from the technical to the launch complex of the "Vostochny" cosmodrome and installed on the launch system. The launch of the "Soyuz-2.1a" launch vehicle with Russian satellites for remote sensing of the earth and monitoring of emergency situations "Kanopus-B" № 5 and 6 is scheduled for December 27, 2018. This will be the fourth launch from the new Russian cosmodrome.

Specialists at the "Vostochny" Cosmodrome on the Refueling Station completed the refueling of the "Fregat" upper stage with fuel components. SOn December 20, a general assembly of the space head is planned, and the next day, its transportation to the launch-rockets assembly and test facility. Small space vehicles have already been installed on the transition truss, and the "Canopus-B" remote sensing satellites № 5 and 6 are being prepared for installation on the transition truss. The launch of the "Soyuz-2.1a" launch vehicle with Russian satellites for remote sensing of the earth and monitoring of emergency situations "Kanopus-B" №% 5 and 6 is scheduled for December 27, 2018.
