The first launch of Angara booster was shifted to June 27, Aerospace Defence troops representative Alexey Zolotukhin reported.

On Tuesday the spokesman for space industry reported that the first test launch of new Russian booster Angara was shifted from June 25 to June 27.

Angara complex developed on the basis of unified series of light, medium and heavy boosters will be able to orbit almost the whole range of possible payloads for Russian Ministry of Defence needs and in all range of orbit altitudes and inclinations.

Toxic propellant components won’t be used in Angara boosters which enables to increase the level of ecological safety both in the spaceport region directly and in the regions of separated stages fall.

Angara series is being designed by Khrunichev State Research and production space Centre and includes various boosters from the light to heavy ones with carrying capacity from 1,5 to 35 tons. The launch of Angara heavy booster from Plesetsk is scheduled for late 2014. The first Angara’s manned flight will take place in 2018, the rocket will be launched from new spaceport Vostochny in Amur region.
