Specialists of Roscosmos State Corporation will continue their attempts to reconnect with the "Spectrum-R" spaceunit. In case the communication cannot be established via the command line, the procedure for completing the work with the "Spectrum-R" , which has worked in the interests of the scientific community 2.5 times longer than the planned period, will be considered in the established order. The Roscosmos State Corporation, together with the Russian Academy of Sciences, continue to work on the creation of new spaceunits of the "Spectrum" series for further study of the Universe.

On January 16, 1969 cosmonauts Boris Volynov (call name "Baikal-1") and Vladimir Shatalov (call name "Amur-1") docked two spacecrafts "Soyuz-5" and "Soyuz-4". On January 14, 2019, Russian remote sensing satellites "Kanopus-B" №5 and №6, launched into orbit on the eve of the new 2019 year, transferred the first images of the Earth. Spacecrafts "Kanopus-B" №5 and №6 joined the successfully functioning space group. So, now in space is operating a full orbital system for operative monitoring of the technogenic and natural emergency situations of the six "Kanopus-B" spacecrafts. For more than six years of operation, the space complex "Kanopus-B" with the same devices demonstrated its high reliability and relevance, becoming suppliers of high-quality satellite images.

On January 11th 2019 in Moscow at the Red Square held a ceremony of laying flowers at the burial place of the founder of Russian practical cosmonautics Sergey Korolev, related to his 112th birthday anniversary. Director of the “Roscosmos” State corporation Dmitri Rogozin, Sergey Korolev daughter - Natalia Koroleva, Soviet and Russian cosmonauts, executives and representatives of the space industry enterprises took part in the ceremony. Sergey Korolev considered as a pioneer in the main directions of developing national rocket weaponry and the space-rocket industry (rockets R-2, R-5, R-7, first satellite in the world PS-1, spaceship “Voskhod” and oth.), providing strategic parity and made Russia the leading space-rocket country.

Today, on December 27, 2018, at 5:07 (Mosacow time) from the launch complex of the "Vostochny" cosmodrome was performed the launch of the rocket "Soyuz-2.1 a" with the upper stage "Fregat" and spacecrafts of Earth remote sensing "Kanopus-B" №5 and 6. Space head part, consisting of the upper stage "Fregat", spacecrafts "kanopus-B" №5 and №6 and 26 satellites is set on the orbit. The separation of the two spacecrafts "Kanopus-B" is scheduled at 06:06 and 06:12 (Moscow time), of small satellites - at 07:30 and 09:25 (Moscow time).

On December 24, 2018, the "Soyuz-2.1a" launch vehicle (LV) was removed from the technical to the launch complex of the "Vostochny" cosmodrome and installed on the launch system. The launch of the "Soyuz-2.1a" launch vehicle with Russian satellites for remote sensing of the earth and monitoring of emergency situations "Kanopus-B" № 5 and 6 is scheduled for December 27, 2018. This will be the fourth launch from the new Russian cosmodrome.

Today, on December 21, the "Proton-M" space rocket was launched from the Baikonur cosmodrome with a spacecraft in the interests of the Russian Ministry of Defense. The successful launch of the spacecraft into the target orbit was provided by the "Breeze-M" upper stage. The new satellite has been accepted for control by the ground-based facilities of the Air and Space Forces of Russia. The first launch of the "Proton-M" LV with the upper stage "Breeze-M" was performed on April 7, 2001. Since then, this modification of the "Proton" rocket has been used in the 104th space launches.

The crew members of the "Soyuz MS-09" spaceship, undocked today from the International Space Station (ISS), returned safely to Earth. The landing module with Roskosmos cosmonaut Sergey Prokopiev, ESA astronaut Alexander Gerst and NASA astronaut Serena Aunon-Chancellor landed in the Kazakhstan on December 20, 2018 at 8:02 (Moscow time). The duration of stay in the space flight of the crew of the long expedition ISS-56/57 was 197 days. "Soyuz MS-09" spacecraft has been a part of the ISS since June 8, 2018.
