Intelsat-31, another telecommunication satellite of Intelsat company will be launched by Russian Proton booster from Baikonur spaceport in 2015, – International Launch Services (ILS) reports.

Contract for 2 launches between Intelsat and ILS was concluded in march 2013 but there were no dates set that time neither satellites type was designated.

According to ILS press-office 6-tons device Intelsat-31 (Intelsat DLA-2)will be launched first in 2015 , it has to provide TV broadcasting for Latin America. Now the satellite is being designed by SSL company.

The dates of the second launch and the type of satellite are not stated yet.
Earlier Proton boosters were used for Intelsat 5 times. Previous time Proton-M booster launched from Baikonur spaceport in October 2012 successfully set Intelsat-23 space device into geostationary orbit.

ILS Company possesses an exclusive right to Proton heavy booster marketing and commercial use. The main ILS shareholder is Russian Khrunichev State Research and Production Centre who is the developer and manufacturer of Proton booster and Briz-m upper stage.
