Next ISS orbit adjustment is planned for December 24, - Roscosmos press office reports.   Anyway Roscosmos does not specify by how many meters the orbit is to be adjusted and what engines (module or spacecraft) would be used for the maneuver. On November 10 the orbit was increased by 1,2 kilometers to avoid collision with Fengyun-1C  satellite fragment passing by the station.

On February 15, the GCTC was visited by the delegation of the Italian Embassy, headed by the Italian Ambassador in Russia Pasquale Terracciano. During the visit, the development of cooperation between the Italian Air Force and the Cosmonaut Training Center was discussed. Despite the strong wind and snow, not only the Star City residents and the staff of the GCTC came to greet the crew of the 56/57 expedition to the ISS, but also the leaders of the rocket and space industry enterprises, as well as the ambassadors of the United States and Germany in Russia John Huntsman and Rüdiger von Fritsch. The crew members of the "Soyuz MS-09" (call name "Altai") Roscosmos cosmonaut Sergey Prokopiev, ESA astronaut Alexander Gerst and NASA astronaut Serena Aunon-Chancellor returned to Earth safely on December 20, 2018 after performing a 196-day flight. Ambassadors of the United States and Germany, representatives of related organizations of the rocket and space industry, foreign space agencies, municipalities and other associations, cosmonauts colleagues warmly welcomed the crew, handing memorable addresses and gifts. At the end of the meeting, the crew of the ISS-56/57 thanks all those, who were involved in their flight.

The crew members of the "Soyuz MS-09" spaceship, undocked today from the International Space Station (ISS), returned safely to Earth. The landing module with Roskosmos cosmonaut Sergey Prokopiev, ESA astronaut Alexander Gerst and NASA astronaut Serena Aunon-Chancellor landed in the Kazakhstan on December 20, 2018 at 8:02 (Moscow time). The duration of stay in the space flight of the crew of the long expedition ISS-56/57 was 197 days. "Soyuz MS-09" spacecraft has been a part of the ISS since June 8, 2018.

The 57th long expedition is being completed at the International Space Station (ISS). According to preliminary data from the ballistic and navigation support service of the Mission Control Center, the undocking of the "Soyuz MS-09" spacecraft from the ISS is scheduled for December 4, 2018 at 04:00. 40 min 30 seconds (Moscow time). Landing of the descent vehicle of the "Soyuz MS-09" spaceship is expected at 08:03 am (Moscow time) 147 km south-east of the city of Zhezkazgan in Kazakhstan.

On November 7, 2018, at 03:47 Moscow time, the launch vehicle "Soyuz-ST-B" with the European meteorological spacecraft "MetOp-С" was launched from the cosmodrome of the Guiana Space Center. "MetOp-C" is the third and last satellite of the European Satellite Meteorology Organization. The first and second satellites of this series were launched in 2006 and 2012 respectively.

On June 17, 2018 at 00:46 (Moscow time) from the State Test Cosmodrome “Plesetsk” military crew of the Russian Space Forces launched a space rocket , that include a “Soyuz-2.1b” launch vehicle, the “Fregat” booster block and “Glonass-M” Russian navigation spacecraft. The launch was conducted under the general supervision of the commander of the Space Forces, the deputy commander-in-chief of the Air and Space Forces, Colonel- General Alexander Golovko. The launch of the launch vehicle and the launch of the spacecraft into the calculated orbit were held in the regular mode.
