GLONASS-M LAUNCH IS SCHEDULED FOR APRIL 26

Defense Ministry plans to launch another satellite group of “Glonass-M” on the 26th of April, told the official representative of the Aerospace Defense division Colonel Alexei Zolotukhin to RIANovosti on Thursday.

“The most optimum date for the satellite” Glonass-M ” launch for its insertion into the closest to the working orbit position is determined on April 26, 2013,” – he said.

According to him, on Thursday at the Plesetsk Cosmodrome preparation of the “Soyuz-2.1b” launcher has begun, which should deliver the satellite into orbit. The launch purpose is “the maintenance and development of a full group of The Federal Targeted Program “Global Navigation System” called “GLONASS ”.
