Baikonur specialists finish preparation works before the launch of Soyuz-2.1a booster with Foton-M biosatellite and Progress M-24M cargo vehicle launch to the ISS both scheduled for July 2014, Roscosmos reports.

The specialists finish installing scientific equipment in Foton-M space device, designed for experiments in the field of space technologies, materials and biological substances manufacturing for various industries and science needs. Upon the completion of the works preparation for nose fairing installation will be started.

The launch of Soyuz-2.1a with Foton-M space device is planned for July 19.  After 60-days space flight Foton-M #4 and scientific equipment with experimental samples in descent module will return back to the Earth for further studies.

At the same time at #31 launchpad space industry specialists conduct final operations on filling Progress M-24M cargo vehicle propulsion system with propellant components. Upon the completion of these operations the vehicle will be transported to the integration building  of 254 launchpad where the specislists continue prelaunch preparation.

Progress M-24M cargo vehicle will deliver about 2,5 tons of cargo to the ISS including oxygen, fuel, equipment for scientific experiments, medical aids, containers with food and water and parcels for the crew members.
