ISS-41/42 mission main and back-up crews go on with their examinational session.  After that cosmonauts and astronauts will start complex examinational trainings summing up the results of their preparations in Star City.

Roscosmos cosmonauts Alexander Samokutyayev and Elena Serova passed exam on TS-18 simulator. This simulator on the basis of TsF-18 Centrifuge is designed for practicing manual descent control in case of automatics failure.

In such situation the cosmonauts have to be prepared for emergency actions.

Besides the cosmonauts had the tasks to land  as close as possible to the estimated point of landing experiencing minimum g-loads. Following examination Commission conclusions the cosmonauts showed perfect professional skills performing manual descent.

On August 20 ISS-41/42 back-up crew Russian members Gennady Padalka and Mikhail Korniyenko also successfully coped with the same task.
