British singer Sarah Brightman will start preparation trainings for space flight to the ISS  in 2015, –  GCTC head Yuri Lonchakov reported to the journalists.

Earlier it was reported that trainings were to start in August-September this year.

“She will start training in Star City in January 2015”, – Lonchakov stated. He also noted that the training plan is already made up.

The singer has already visited Russian many times. For the first time Brightman came to Russia in 1985 when she sang “Requiem”, written for her by Andrew Lloyd Weber, her husband of that time.  She was awarded Grammy for “Requiem” that year.

Sarah Brightman is one of the leading singers of classical crossover. Her magnificent soprano in Cats and phantom of the Opera where he played the part of Christina conquered the world.

She sang together with Jose Carreras, Placido Domingo, Joshua Groban, Andrea Bocelli, Antonio Banderas, Jose Cura, Alessandro Safina, tom Johns, Sergey Penkin etc. and released a great number of solo albums.

Onboard Soyuz spacecraft she will go to the ISS as a space tourist.
