Russia will start developing and testing new navigational satellites in 2018, – Aerospace defence Troops commander Lieutenant General Alexander Golovko reported.

Aerospace defence troops protecting Russian air boundaries appeared not so long ago. The first duty shift went on combat duty on December 1, 2011.

“From 2018 we plan to develop and test new series of navigational satellites of improved performance”, – Golovko stated.

At the present time Russian orbital group includes more than 130 space devices of different purposes, most of them are controlled by Aerospace defence troops.
