Progress Rocket and Space Centre started assembling Soyuz-2.1a  that is to be the first booster launched from new Russian spaceport Vostochny in Amur region. The booster will be ready for transportation to Vostochny in June, the works on the rocket are being accomplished according to the schedule, – Progress Rocket and Space Centre spokesman reports.

The rocket will be ready for transportation by early June. The schedule of Volga upper stage, space device adapter  and assembling protective unit preparation also does not raise any doubts.

Most technical equipment is already delivered to the spaceport, with part of it being ready for autonomous tests and check-out works.

All technical decisions o ensure the launch from vostochne will be made this year, – progress reports.

JSC progress Rocket and Space Centre is a leding Russian enterprise and on of the world’s leaders in the field of medium boosters design, production and operation. The boosters made by Progress are used to launch manned and cargo vehicles to the ISS and for the launches of foreign payloads.
