New Multipurpose Laboratory Module to Become a Part of the ISS by November 30, 2013

Multipurpose laboratory module may be added to Russian segment of the ISS by November 30, 2013, – as it was stated in Federal Space Agency plan published on its website.

It was reported earlier that the launch is planned for December 2013 but there is a possibility of shifting it to April 2014. New module will be launched by Proton-M booster from Baikonur cosmodrome.

Multipurpose laboratory module was constructed by Khrunichev State Research and Production Space Center and Energia Rocket and Space Corporation on the basis of “Zarya” functional cargo block.

According to Roscosmos plan up to 2018 new node module will be added to ISS in the4th quarter of 2014, and new scientific power module in 4th quarter of 2017.
