Prime (Roscosmos cosmonauts Sergey Ryzhikov and Andrei Borisenko, NASA astronaut Robert Shane Kimbrough) and back-up (Roscosmos cosmonauts Alexander Misurkin and Nickolay Tikhonov, NASA astronaut Mark Vande Hai) crews of ISS-49/50 mission are finishing their exams in GCTC.

On August 18, Russian cosmonauts passed an exam on Soyuz MS approaching the ISS on Don-Soyuz simulator, Sergey Ryzhikov and Andrei Borisenko were the first to pass this training. After report on the readiness for the training by crew commander the crew took an examination card with conditions and off-nominal situations the crew was to cope with in the course of exams.

Alexandr Misurkin and Nickolay Tikhonov were the second to pass this exam.  According to the Commission’s conclusion the cosmonauts showed great knowledge and professionalism.

Next week main and back-up crew will pass typical flight day training on ISS Russian segment simulator and on Agist 30 and August 31 have final complex training.
