On July 25, 1984 Svetlana Savitskaya became the first woman of the Earth, who made an exit into the open space.

Outside the station Svetlana Savitskaya spent 3 hours 35 minutes.

Together with cosmonaut Vladimir DZHANIBEKOV, they tested a unique universal hand tool, with which it was possible to weld, cut and solder metal.

Svetlana Savitskaya also became the first woman to make two space flights.

The first flight Svetlana carried out in August 1982 as part of the crew of the “Soyuz-T7” spacecraft and the “Salyut 7” orbital station.

This spacewalk of Svetlana Savitskaya has become a historic one for cosmonautics, continuing a whole series of human victories over outer space.
