At the Baikonur cosmodrome, the preparation for the launch of the “Proton-M” launch vehicle with the upper stage “DM-03” and the Russian observatory “Spectrum-RG” continues.

In accordance with the established schedule of works, in the Assembly and Testing building of the 92A-50 site, specialists of Roscosmos enterprises completed the assembly of the head part of the “Proton-M” space rocket.

On the “Spectrum-RG”, installed with the help of a transfer system on the upper stage “DM-03”, was installed a head fairing, after which the specialists proceeded to the assembly of the head part electrical connections and their testing.

In the next few days, the general assembly of the “Proton-M” space rocket will be completed and electrical tests of its components will be performed.

To ensure the thermal mode of the “Spectrum-RG” , a protective thermal cover will be installed on the head fairing, and the “Proton-M” rocket will be prepared for the roll-out to the launch complex.

The launch of the “Proton-M” launch vehicle with the “DM-03” upper stage and the Russian astrophysical observatory “Spectrum-RG” is scheduled for June 21, 2019 at 15:17 (Moscow time) from the site № 81 of the Baikonur cosmodrome.
