On July 4, 2019, the main and backup crews of the “Soyuz MS-13” spacecraft arrived at the Baikonur cosmodrome to complete preparations for the upcoming space flight.

At the cosmodrome they were met by members of the Technical Management and the State Commission.

The main crew of the ISS-60/61 includes cosmonaut Alexander Skvortsov, astronauts Luca Parmitano and Andrew Morgan, their backups are Sergey Ryzhikov, Thomas Marshburne and Soichi Noguchi.

The commanders reported on full readiness for training, and then went to the Test Training Complex of GCTC.

Within two weeks they will have to undergo a complex of trainings, classes and briefings, as well as all the necessary medical checks.

On July 5 the crews will hold the first training session in the “Soyuz MS-13” spacecraft.

They will need to work out the mechanism of actions on the working places in the ship, to study on-board documentation and perform a series of tests of on-board systems.

The launch of the “Soyuz-FG” launch vehicle with the “Soyuz MS-13” spacecraft and the next long expedition to the International Space Station is scheduled for July 20, 2019 from the Baikonur cosmodrome.
