“The construction of launchpad for Angara heavy booster may start in 2015 instead of 2016 as was planned earlier, – Roscosmos Head Vladimir Popovkin stated.

“First and foremost we will start launching site for Soyuz spacecrafts. After 2015 we have to get down to constructing launch pad for Angara heavy booster. But due to the fact that we finish the main works by the end 2014 we want suggest Russian government starting constructions works in 2015 instead 2016 as was planned before. Thus we will just move the specialists’ crews to the other objects” – Popovkin Head said to “Russian Newspaper”.

According to him Vostochny cosmodrome construction works are financed to the full extend and there are all chances to launch the first rocket in 2015.

Earlier the decision on Angara pad construction was questionable as the booster hasn’t been tested at Plesetsk Cosmodrome yet.
