As part of the contract with a Human Spaceflight Center of Indian Space Research Organization, ISRO the GCTC on Monday, February 10, 2020, began the planned preparation of Indian candidates for cosmonauts.

After the selection, four Indian Air Force fighter pilots became candidates for ISRO space flight.

The training program, designed for 12 months, includes a comprehensive and biomedical training of Indian candidates, which will be combined with regular physical exercises.

In addition, they will study in detail the systems of the”Soyuz MS” manned spacecraft, and will conduct trainings with the reproduction of short-term zero-gravity modes using the Il-76MDK aircraft.

Indian pilots will be trained for the abnormal landing of the descent vehicle in various climatic and geographical areas.

The most training will take place at the Cosmonaut Training Center.

The contract for the training of Indian space flight candidates with the Manned Space Flight Center of the Indian Space Research Organization was signed on June 27, 2019.

The document provides support for the selection of candidates, their medical examination and various aspects of space training.
