At the Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center on March 12, 2020, completed the complex examination of the main and backup crews of the ISS-63.

The main crew of Roscosmos cosmonauts Anatoly Ivanishin, Ivan Wagner and NASA astronaut Christopher Cassidy passed the exam all day on the simulator of the “Soyuz MS” manned spacecraft.

During the exam, the instructors modeled six emergency situations, that needed to be detected and eliminated during the training.

In this examination training, the crew also works out the undocking of the ship with the International Space Station and return to Earth.

At the end of the training examinations, analyzes were conducted at which members of the examination commission praised the work of the ISS-63 crews, noting the professionalism, strong theoretical knowledge and practical skills of all the examinees.

On March 20, 2020, a meeting of the Interdepartmental Commission will be held at the GCTC, where a decision will be made on the further progress of crew training for space flight.

After which a pre-flight press conference will be held with the participation of the ISS-63 main and backup crews.

Departure to the Baikonur Cosmodrome is scheduled for March 24, and the launch is scheduled for April 9 at 11:05 (Moscow time).
