Next ISS orbit adjustment is planned for December 24, – Roscosmos press office reports.
As the official message says: «The next ISS orbit adjustment maneuver is scheduled for December 24.”
Anyway Roscosmos does not specify by how many meters the orbit is to be adjusted and what engines (module or spacecraft) would be used for the maneuver.
Earlier orbit adjustment was planned for November 16 to provide conditions necessary for the arrival of Progress cargo vehicle with Prichal module and Soyuz MS-20 with space tourist aboard.
However on November 10 the orbit was increased by 1,2 kilometers to avoid collision with Fengyun-1C satellite fragment passing by the station on November 12. Thus there was no need for adjustment on November 16.
Currently 66th ISS mission crew is working aboard. The crew comprises Russian cosmonauts Pyotr Dubrov and Anton Shkaplerov (mission commander), American astronauts Mark VandeVande Hei, Raja Chari,Thomas Mushburn, Kayla Barron and German astronaut Matthias Maurer.
