Astronauts onboard the ISS check spacesuits for EVA-55

The flight of the Russian members of the 68th long-term expedition, Roscosmos cosmonauts Sergei Prokopiev, Dmitry Petelin and Anna Kikina, continues at the International Space Station.

On November 14, 2022, according to the flight program of the Russian segment of the station, the following was performed:

  • preparation of space suits for a spacewalk under the Russian program (VKD-55): checking space suit systems and its equipment, systems for docking of space suits with the module, entering space suits and checking controls, installing replaceable elements on them;
  • operations with air ducts and means of communication in the Poisk small research module for preparation for EVA-55;
  • training of EVA-55 operations in “Orlan-ISS”;
  • maintenance of the “Orlan-ISS” suits after training.
