Express-AM5 Russian communication satellite developed and designed by Reshetnev “Information satellite systems” Company was delivered to Baikonur spaceport from where it will be launched.

“The delivery went on nominally. Large-sized space device was transported in special container equipped with purity, temperature and moisture control systems. All conditions necessary to ensure working abilities of complex equipment were observed”, – Reshetnev ISS representatives reported.

In the nearest time ISS specialists together with spaceport specialists will start working to prepare Express-AM5 satellite for the launch that will take place on December 26 this year.

Express-AM5 satellite is the 1st space device developed by Reshetnev ISS on the basis of Express-2000 heavy class platform. The satellite was ordered by national operator Federal State Unitary Enterprise “Space Communication”, it is designed to provide Russia with digital tele- and radiobroadcasing, to solve mobile president and governmental communication tasks, and for other services (telephony, videocinferencing, data transmission, Internet access) as well as creation of communication Network on the basis of VSAT technology.
