Russian ISS crewmembers – ISS commander Oleg Kotov and flight engineer Sergey Ryazansky will perform spacewalk on January 27 to install medium and high resolution video cameras outside the ISS, – Mission Control Centre representative reported.

“In accordance with the plan approved on Monday the spacewalk begins at 18.30 Moscow time, January 27, Kotov and Ryazansky will work in the open space for about 6 hours”, – the spokesman reported.

During this unscheduled spacewalk Russian cosmonauts have to install medium and high resolution video cameras onto the ISS external surface anew. There are no other tasks set for them.

During the last spacewalk on December 27 the cosmonauts failed to complete the program planned since the cameras installed didn’t work. Kotov and Ryazansky had to demount them and bring back to the station. Due to this fact the spacewalk was prolonged from 7 hours to 8 hours and 10 minutes.
