According to official information Proton-M with Exprss-AM4R satellite crash was caused by the breakage of 3rd stage control thruster turbopump bearing, Interdepartmental Commission Head Alexander Danilyuk reported to the journalists.

“The main version remains as it was: that is the breakage of 3rd stage control thruster turbopump bearing. No science fiction, everything’s quite tedious”, – Danilyuk said answering the journalists’ questions.

According to him the Interdepartmental Commission is not going to consider sabotage as the crash cause.

“Our commission is not considering this version since we just have no right to it. By the Law this is the business of those people having the right to carry out investigations, – said the Commission Head. According to him the Commission excludes the possibility of unauthorized people penetration to the manufacturing plant territory.

“Naturally we may suppose any James Bond penetrating the plant but this is not the Commission’s business, our activities are quite pragmatic. We have telemetry data, we simulate and check what could be and what could not be.  All our versions are of technical character. There are so sensations to be”, – the Head concluded.

He reminded that on June 8 Commission finishes its work and the results well be presented to the Government.

Proton-M booster launched from Baikonur on May 16 with Express-AM4R communication satellite burnt in the dense atmosphere above the territory of China. As a result Russia lost its most powerful telecommunication space device.
