Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Centre continues the series of experimental researches involving cosmonauts just returned to the Earth after ISS mission for the future of interplanetary flights and Solar system planets exploration.

Next day after their return and arrival at Star City Soyuz TMA-07M Commander Roman Romanenko worked out manual descend from the orbit to Mars surface with the help of Centrifuge TSF-18. The experiment was aimed at assessing the possibility of manual landing after space flight of half a year duration.

The researches involving R.Romanenko will continue on May 18, 2013. This time it will be training using Egress-2 specialized simulator. The cosmonaut will work on standard operations concerning egress to Mars surface and work in a spacesuit on the surface of the planet.

For the first time the series of such experiments was carried out with the participation of Oleg Novitskiy and Evgeny Tarelkin in March 2013, – GCTC press-service stated.
