Soyuz-ST-B Booster with 03b Satellites Launched from Kourou Spaceport

At 22:55:56, Moscow time, on July 10 Arianespace Company and Russian Federal Space Agency joint operational crews launched Soyuz-ST-B booster with Fregat-MT upper stage and four 03b Network telecommunication satellites from ELS Launchpad of Kourou spaceport in French Guiana.

The first two space devices separated at 00.56, Moscow time, the second two – at 01.18, Moscow time.

Space devices were manufactured by Thales Alenia Space Company against the order of O3b Neworks Ltd. Each satellite weights about 700 kg. Thew were designed to create mid-orbit communicational space system providing telecommunication services and high-speed Internet access for Asia, Africa Latin America and Middle East countries.
