Progress M-24M launched from Baikonur and docked to ISS

Soyuz-U booster with “Progress M-24M” cargo vehicle was launched to the ISS from Baikonur spaceport on July 24 at 01.44 Moscow time.

At 01.53 Moscow time “Progress M-24M” nominally separated from the third booster stage on the orbit.

At 07.31 Moscow time the vehicle successfully docked with the docking compartment “Pirs” of the ISS Russian segment in accordance with the short 6-hours rendezvous scheme.

The vehicle delivered to the station about 2,3 tons of cargo including propellant, scientific equipment, oxygen, water, clothes, foodstuffs, parcels and gifts for the crew from their family members.

The previous cargo vehicle Progress M-23M was undocked from the station on July 22 and will be in the autonomous flight till August 1 for the scientific experiment.
