Launch schedule of Proton boosters will be announced next week, – Khrunichev Centre head Andrei Kalinovsky said the journalists on Monday.

The schedule may be adjusted taking into account the accident happened on May 16, 2015, when Mexican MexSat-1 satellite was lost.

As Roscosmos Head Igor Komarov reported earlier the cause of the accident was not of production but of constructive nature: the problem was with the 3rd stage engine rotor.

“We are not less interested in determined Proton launch schedule than you, since we have a lot of commitments to our launch ordering parties. We expect to announce the date of next Proton launch and space device it will orbit next week as well as the launch schedule for this year, – Kalinovsky stated.
