State Commission Approved New ISS Crew for the Flight

Interdepartmental Commission approved main and back-up crews of new ISS mission for the flight, – GCTC spokesman reported.
The main crew comprises: Roscosmos cosmonaut Sergey Volkov, first ever Danish astronaut Andreas Mogensen and Kazakh astronaut Aidyn Aimbetov. The back-up crew includes Roscosmos cosmonauts Oleg Skrypochka and Sergey Prokopiev and ESA astronaut Thomas Pesquet.
New ISS crew will fly to the ISS onboard Soyuz TMA-18M spacecraft on September 2. The cosmonauts have already passed preflight examination trainings in Star City. Volkov, Mogensen and Aimbetov detected all off-nominal situations within the given timeframe and effectively coped with them.
