Russian space industry specialists unloaded the vehicle and installed it on the special facility of #254 integration building at Baikonur spaceport.
Many facilities Progress-M vehicles were equipped with have been significantly altered. Besides new vehicle’s cargo compartment got additional protection from space debris and micrometeorites. Progress-MS is equipped with a brand new light-emitting diodes spotlight, and most advanced new-generation satellite navigation facilities is being applied as a part of motion and navigation control system instead of orbital parameters radio-monitoring equipment.
The vehicle will be launched with the help of Soyuz-2.1 booster, the launch scheduled for November 2015.
