On March 09, 1934, Yuri Gagarin the legendary first-man-in-space was born in a small village of Smolensk region. On April 12, 1961, he performed the first space flight in the history of humankind proving that there is nothing impossible. His flight was a breakthrough, a step to the unknown that gave the strongest impulse to science and technology development.

Yuri Gagarin made the space dream of thousands tellurians come true. His smile became a symbol of the world.

Not only in Russia but all over the world people remember and celebrate the Birthday of the first cosmonaut since he is a son of the Earth, embodying the peace and progress.

His short life flashed like a star and shorted unexpectedly and tragically. But he will never be forgotten. Thousand years will pass but people will always admire the brave man taking a step to space and looking at our home planet from the its dark depth.
