On July 26, 2019, at the Baikonur cosmodrome specialists from the RSC “Energia” (part of the Roscosmos State Corporation) and other Roskosmos enterprises completed a general assembly of the “Soyuz -2.1a” space rocket with the “Progress MS-12” cargo ship.

Representatives of the technical management and the State Commission issued an report on readiness for the roll out and installation of the rocket at the launch pad № 31.

The launch of the “Progress MS-12” spacecraft is scheduled for July 31.

The purpose of the flight is to deliver on board of the International Space Station fuel, water and other cargoes, necessary for the further operation of the station in manned mode.

The ship should deliver 1.2 tons of dry cargo to the ISS station, more than a ton of fuel in the refueling system tanks, 420 kg of water in the tanks, and also 50 kg of compressed gas in cylinders.

In the packing of the cargo compartment – scientific equipment, components for the life support system, as well as containers with food products, clothing, medicines and personal care products for crew members.
