In the Assembly and Testing building of the Baikonur Cosmodrome specialists of the Khrunicev Space Center together with representatives of the customer and the manufacturer of the spacecraft are assembling the head part of the “Proton-M” space rocket.

In accordance with the launch campaign schedule, the MEV-1 spacecraft was installed on the “Breeze-M” upper stage, electrical connections were installed and checked.

On September 18, 2019, specialists performed a mechanical assembly of the second Eutelsat-5WB spacecraft.

Before installing the head fairing flaps, it is planned to conduct final electrical checks of the assembled spacecraft with the upper stage.

At the same time, the specialists of the Khrunichev Center are completing the preparation of the “Proton-M” launch vehicle for assembly with the head part.

The launch of the “Proton-M” heavy-class launch vehicle will be carried out in accordance with the contract of International Launch Services, Inc. and the global satellite communications operator Eutelsat S.A. to launch two satellites Eutelsat-5WB and MEV-1.

The planned launch of “Proton-M” will become the 97th under the contracts for the commercial operation of the launch vehicle, concluded by ILS.
