From the Baikonur Cosmodrome was launched the “Proton-M” launch vehicle with the European satellite “Eutelsat 5 West B” and the American “MEV-1”.

The live broadcast was on the website of Roscosmos.

It was planned that the launch of the rocket, which should put foreign satellites into orbit, will be held on September 30, but it was postponed.

The state corporation then announced the need for additional tests.

Later, the head of Roskosmos Dmitry Rogozin said, that the launch was postponed due to a problem with the interaction of the control system of the upper stage with the electronics of American spacecraft.

The state corporation noted, that the launch of satellites into orbit will last a record 15 hours 54 minutes.

The launch is under the contract of International Launch Services, Inc. and global satellite operator Eutelsat S.A.
