The crew of the “Soyuz MS-16” manned spacecraft, docked to the International Space Station on April 9, 2020 at 17:13 (Moscow time), opened access hatches and went aboard the ISS.

After this, the first communication session of the entire crew of the ISS-62 expedition with the Mission Control Center took place.

After the hatches were opened between the manned ship and the station, a crew of 6 people began working: cosmonauts Oleg Skrypochka, Anatoly Ivanishin and Ivan Wagner, astronauts Andrew Morgan, Jessica Meir and Christopher Cassidy.

For Anatoly Ivanishin and Christopher Cassidy this is the third flight to the ISS, Ivan Wagner will work in orbit for the first time.

The planned duration of the flight is 196 days.

The program of the long expedition includes scientific and applied research and experiments, carrying out routine maintenance related to maintaining the operability of the station, and equipping it with equipment, delivered by cargo ships.

In accordance with the flight program of the International Space Station, on April 17, 2020, it is planned to return the crew of the “Soyuz MS-15” manned spacecraft consisting of Roscosmos cosmonaut Oleg Skrypochka and NASA astronauts Andrew Morgan and Jessica Meir.
