Yesterday launch of SpaceX Crew Dragon manned mission from Cape Canaveral was cancelled due to the low cloud ceiling. New attempt is to be made in a couple of days.

By the moment it was decided to cancel the launch astronauts Bob Behnken and Doug Hurley were already inside the capsule and the spacecraft was filled. Online broadcasting from Cape Canaveral the spacecraft was to launch from enable to see the fog and low cloud ceiling.

The launch was shifted to Saturday, May 30, and is scheduled for 22.32, Moscow time.

SpaceX Crew Dragon launch is to be the first US manned space mission from 2011. When Space Shuttle was closed American astronauts went to the ISS aborad Russian Soyuz spacecrafts.

Crew Dragon (Dragon 2) shuttle and Falcon 9 booster were designed by SpaceX Company founded by Elon Musk  against NASA order.

The spacecraft was already tested once without astronauts onboard.

Its predecessor Dragon spacecraft of the first generation has been launched to space for more than 20 times to deliver cargos to the ISS. Only one of these launches ended up in a failure.
