Russia to Resume Production of Rokot

Khrunichev Centre is going to resume the production of Rokot light conversion boosters on the basis of RS-18B ballistic missiles currently being removed from combat duty.

According to the source Russian Ministry of Defense and Khrunichev Centre have already signed the contract.

It was reported earlier that Khrunichev is developing Rokot-2 equipped with Russian control system to replace Rokot whose control system was produced by Ukrainian Khartron plant located in Kharkov. After political crisis in 2014 Ukraine halted deliveries what made it difficult to go on with Rokot launches and Russia decided to resign the booster.

Upon the agreement with military department new Rocket was called Rocket-M
