The chair to be installed inside the future Russian space vehicle Oryol (rus. Eagle) designed for moon mission proved to be reliable in the course of the testing. But according to the ordering party request its weight will be reduced, – Director General and General Designer  of Zvezda Research and Production Enterprise Sergey Pozdnyakov reported.

“A series of testing showed that shockabsorbing functions as planned and all the parameters were chosen correctly. Upon demand of Energia Rocket and Space Corporation currently we are working on reducing the mass of the chair”, – he commented.

Earlier from the materials published by RSC Energia it became clear that Oryol manned space vehicle being developed in Russia for moon missions turned out to be two tons heavier than design conditions stipulated. After a while it was announced that a new light modification of the vehicle is being developed.

Zvezda Enterprise will demonstrate its products at MAKS 2021 Internationa Aviation and Space Salon.
