Progress M-22M cargo vehicle tests are under way at Baikonur spaceport. The vehicle is to be launched to the ISS early February 2014.

Progress has already successfully passed electronic systems compatibility and complex tests. Today Russian space industry specialists started preparing Progress M-21M for leak tests in integration building of site 254.

When the preparation works are completed cargo vehicle will be transported to the vacuum chamber where it will be stored for several days in the course of leak test.

Soyuz-U booster with Progress M-22M cargo vehicle will be launched from Baikonur spaceport on February 5, 2014. The launch will start Russian Space program 2014.

Progress will deliver about 2,5 tons of different cargos to the ISS including propellant to keep the ISS orbit, equipment for ISS resupply, foodstuffs, water and air for cosmonauts, scientific equipment for experiments , etc. – Roscosmos press office reports.
