Russian woman-cosmonaut Anna Kikina may go to space in several years, – GCTC Head Yuri Lonchakov reported.

“Anna Kikina passed all necessary trainings. Her team was having parachute trainings, then desert survival trainings at Baikonur. All instructors who were working with Anna give her highest marks, that’s why I believe she will be a good cosmonaut”, – Lonchakov stated.

Answering the question about the time of her future flight he added: “Now thew have to pass group trainings and then they will be appointed to the crews. In 3-4 years at best she may go to space. We’ll hope for that”.

On September 26, 2014 the first in 20 years Russian woman-cosmonaut will go to the ISS onboard Soyuz TMA-14M spacecraft together with her colleagues Roscosmos cosmonaut Alexander Samokutyayev and NASA astronaut Barry Wilmore. There are no other women-cosmonauts except her and Kikina in Russian cosmonaut corps.
