Yesterday, on November 6, GCTC saw Interdepartmental Commission meeting and main and back-up crews’ press-conference. The main crew comprises Roscosmos cosmonaut Anton Shkaplerov, ESA astronaut Samantha Christoforetti and NASA astronaut Terry Virts. The back-up crew includes Roscosmos cosmonaut Oleg Kononenko, JAXA astronaut Kimiya Yui and NASA astronaut Kjell Lindgren.

Today, on November 7, 2014, according to long-standing tradition both crews visited memorable places of Russian Cosmonautics .

The visited Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Centre Museum of Cosmonautics, with its exact copy of Yuri Gagarin study and signed in a special commemorative book.

After that the crews visited Red Square and honored the memory of S.P. Korolev and the cosmonauts buried in the Kremlin wall.
