International cooperation to expand peaceful uses of outer space is one of Roscosmos’ main priorities.

Roscosmos representative Valery Zaichko addressed the 52th session of  Scientific and Technical Sub-Committee of UN Committee on Peaceful Uses of outer space speaking about Roscosmos’ achievements in providing earth remote sensing data for social and economic development.

Russian Government decision to eliminate restrictions on Earth remote sensing data provided by Russian satellites improves the quality of earth remote sensing services. In its turn Roscosmos launch high-resolution earth remote sensing satellites such as Resource-P #2 and goes on deploying   earth remote sensing data system.

In 2014 Roscosmos specialists took part in international projects on global earth remote sensing systems development.

One of the most important directions was cooperation in the framework of Space and major disasters international Charter. Last year Roscosmos earth sensing satellite Meteor-M #1, Canopus-V 31 and Resource-P #1 were used for survey in the framework of the Charter.

The System will be developed in 2015, four more arth remote sensing satellites will be launch: Resource-P #3 with more than 1 meter resolution; Meteor-M #2-1 with 50-70 meters resolution survey equipment and 1000 km survey bandwidth  able to monitor the territory of Russia for 2-3 days4 Canopus-V-IK  with infrared equipment and Electro-L #2 geostationary hydrometeorological space complex with Global Earth observation equipment.
