At 18.37.59 Moscow time on 7 June, 2013 Soyuz-2.1V booster with military space satellite was launched by operational crew of Aerospace Defense Forces from #4 launchpad of Plesetsk cosmodrome.

9 minutes later the satellite separated from the booster and entered low-earth orbit.

The cost of Soyuz-2.1V booster with space satellite for Russian ministry of Defence amounted to 320 million dollars, – Anatoly Shilov Roscosmos deputy director reported.

“I’ll break a small secret; this launch cost about 10 billion rubles (around 320 million dollars), – Shilov stated after successful launch from Plesetsk cosmodrome.

According to him the next satellite of such kind for the Ministry of Defence is already under construction and will be launched either in 2013 or early in 2014. “Such device will be launched either this or next year. It enables the state to hear and see everything. Our industry is ready to construct such devices on a regular basis”, – Roscosmos Deputy Director noted.
