On June 15, 2015, Baikonur saw “Mass Media day” taking place in GCTC test and training center of #17 launchpad. Soyuz TMA-17M spacecraft main (Oleg Kononenko, Kimiya Yui and Kjell Lindgren) and back-up (Yuri Malenchenko, Timothy Kopra, Timohy Peake) crews arranged open training for mass media representative.
Cosmonauts and astronauts started working day with training on Soyuz manual approaching simulator. After successful completion of the tasks they started studying board documentation.
After that cosmonauts and astronauts started practical trainings aimed to prepare human body for space flight factors: training on tilt-table and vestibular training.
In the afternoon both main and back-up crew members walked along Cosmonauts Alley where Kimiya Yui and Kjell Lindgren planted trees before their first flight according to long standing tradition.
Aerospace industry specialists also go on working in the integration building of #254 launchpad to prepare the rocket for the launch scheduled for July 23, 2015, 00.02.45, Moscow time.
