Preparation works for Proton-M booster with Briz-M upper stage and Russian telecommunication space device Express-AM5 are under way at Baikonur spaceport.

The teams of TSENKI branch office – “Yuzhny” space Centre started preparing launchpad equipment and facilities for the future launch of the booster from #81 launch pad of Baikonur spaceport.

Proton-M booster, Briz-M upper stage and Express-AM5 space device are being prepared in integration building of site 92A-50 of Baikonur spaceport; electrical tests are conducted on the booster and upper stage. JSC “ Reshetnev Information Satellite systems” and “Yuzhny” space Centre teams fuel Express-AM5 propulsion system with xenon.

The launch of Proton booster with Briz-M upper stage and Express-AM5 space device is scheduled for December 26, – Roscosmos press office reports.
