Proton with Express-AM8 to be Launched on Today

Proton-M with Russian communication satellite Express-AM8 will be launched on Monday evening, September 14, – Roscosmos representative stated.

This will be the second launch of Proton booster after May crash.

The first one took place on August 28, when Proton successfully orbited British space device Inmarsat-5F3.

“The launch is planned for September 14, 22.00, Moscow time. Space head consisting of DM-03 upper stage and space devicewill separate from the booster at 22.09, Moscow time. Express-AM8 is to separate from the upper stage on September 15, 04.37, Moscow time”, – said the spokesman.
