MCC specialists completed forming Resource-P #3 working orbit increasing its altitude by 70 km.

Soyuz-2.1b with Resource-P #3 Earth remote sensing satellite was launched from Baikonur spaceport on the back-up date (March 13) since on initially scheduled date (March 12) automatic system cancelled the launch.  After insertion one of the satellite’s solar arrays deployed not in full.

“In the framework of adjustment taking place on March 20, 2016, working orbit of the Resource-P #3 satellite was formed.  Orbit adjustment was accomplished nominally. Resource-P 3# thrusters were ignited at 10.35, Moscow time, and have been operating for 43 seconds. As a result of this maneuver the orbit was increased by 70 km”, – was stated in the official report.

It was also pointed out that all board systems operate nominally and cope with the tasks set.

Working orbit of the satellite was formed as a result of two-burn maneuver planned. The first adjustment maneuver was performed on March 17 and increased the orbit by 200 km.
