The specialists have completed all scheduled works to prepare Soyuz MS-02 spacecraft for the launch and future docking with the ISS, – Mission Control Centre specislists reported.
The launch of Soyuz MS-02 is scheduled for October 19, 11.05, Moscow time.
The spacecraft will separate from the booster’s 3rd stage and enter the orbit at 11.14, Moscow time.
“MCC accomplished all operations necessary for the orbiting and future Soyuz MS-02 docking with the ISS”.
The crew comprises Roscosmos cosmonauts Sergey Ryzhikov and Andrei Borisenko and NASA astronaut Robert Shane Kimbrough.
Initially the launch was scheduled for September 23, 2016, but postponed due to technical reasons.
Roscosmos reported that it was landing system cable failure that caused the launch shift.
“The cable was jammed in the course of the testing; as result control equipment displayed an error”, – Roscosmos press service reported.
