The Progress-MS-08 cargo ship was brought down from orbit after a one-week experiment “Izgib” and flooded in a non-navigable area of the Pacific Ocean.

The experiment was aimed at studying the dynamic processes of the ship in various spinning regimes while maintaining the gravitational and solar orientation, which makes it possible to determine the properties of the microgravity situation.

“Progress MS-08” was part of the International Space Station on February 11, 2018.

On August 23, the cargo ship undocked from the Russian segment of the ISS and was on an autonomous flight until August 30 to conduct a scientific experiment.
