On September 25, 2018, the main and backup crews of the «Soyuz MS-10» spacecraft  arrived at the Baikonur cosmodrome for the final stages of flight preparation.

At the airport they were met by members of the Technical Administration and the State Commission.

The main crew of the ISS-57/58 includes Roskosmos cosmonaut Alexei Ovchinin and NASA astronaut Nick Hague.

Their backups are the cosmonaut of Roskosmos Oleg Kononenko and CSA astronaut David Saint-Jacques.

The commanders of the crews reported on readiness for preflight training and the reception of the «Soyuz MS-10» spacecraft.

After the report to the management, the crews went to the Test and Training Complex of the GCTC.

They will have to undergo a complex of trainings, classes and briefings.

Also cosmonauts and astronauts will daily exercise physical fitness, undergo medical examinations and prepare for space flight factors.

Tomorrow the first training will be held, during which the crew members will check the readiness of their ship, will be instructed on safety measures, will familiarize themselves with the order of the cargo placement and the operation of the equipment.

The launch of «Soyuz MS-10» spacecraft  is scheduled for October 11, 2018.

The planned duration of the flight is 187 days.
